Linda Lou Evans 1942 - 2016
Linda Lou Evans, 74, died on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, at 4:52 p.m. at her residence.
She was born on July 26, 1942, in Harrod, Ohio, to Charles Leslie and Margaret Ann (Shadley) Conkle, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 21, 1959 Linda married Jerry W. Evans and he survives in rural Harrod.
Linda was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church of LaFayette.
Linda is survived by her children: Tim W. (Sandra) Evans of Harrod, Teresa (Scott) Rumer of Dyersburg, Tenn., Melissa Evans of Harrod, Deb Evans of Centennial, Colo., and Jason D. (Brandy) Evans of Lima.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Justin (Ashley) Evans, Anthony Evans, Tori McGraw, Taylor McGraw, Matt Dyer, Emily Dyer, Nate Dyer, Kayla Rumer, Justin Rumer, Donny (Jessica) Luke, Jr., Jessie (Jeremy) Troke, Tyler Poling, Kanyon Poling, and Brayson Evans; six great grandchildren and her siblings: Gary Conkle of Ada and Betty Masters of Oregon, Ohio.
She was predeceased by siblings: Charles Conkle, Jr., Shirley Cira, Larry Conkle and Robert Conkle.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Brother Gary Mosley officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger and until the time of the service on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
