Blanchard Valley Hospital and Bluffton Hospital Echo Laboratories reaccreditation
The Echocardiography Laboratories at Blanchard Valley Hospital (BVH) and Bluffton Hospital have been reaccredited by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).
The BVH and Bluffton echo labs perform echocardiograms, a non-invasive test used to assess different areas of the heart and can detect heart disease or signs of serious conditions.
This accreditation recognizes labs that provide a high level of patient care and quality testing when diagnosing heart disease.
To receive the accreditation, BVH and Bluffton echo labs underwent a comprehensive application process and a detailed review of its echocardiography operations.
First accredited in 2005, BVH received reaccreditations in 2008, 2011 and 2014. Bluffton Hospital was first accredited in 2008 and received reaccreditations in 2011 and 2014. The accreditation is valid for three years.
IAC accreditation is a “seal of approval” that patients can rely on as an indicator of consistent quality care and a dedication to continuous improvement.
