Re: Ada Schools Renewal Levy
I am writing in regards to the upcoming Renewal Levy for Ada Schools. It is a renewal, not a new tax and it only pertains to your income, not your property tax. It also is not based on your place of employment. This levy provides for day-to-day function of the school and is very much needed.
My husband, John, and I are both Ada High School graduates and went on to graduate from college with honors, so obviously we had a solid base coming out of Ada Schools. In fact, both of our children have attended Ada Schools and we moved out of the school district in 2010 but chose to open-enroll them back to Ada. Our daughter, Alexis, is now in her junior year at Case Western Reserve University and her foundation at Ada definitely had her well prepared for her chemistry degree. My son, Austin, is in his junior year at Ada and already has universities looking at him due to his ACT score and various activities available.
I am recommending that you vote for the Renewal Levy for Ada Schools for the obvious reason of the need for day-to-day general operating funds, but also to continue to help our schools build the solid foundation that our students need to excel after high school. Ada stands out in the county and the area for high academics, club opportunities, and a wide range of athletics to choose from! Let’s continue the tradition for generations to come!
Sincerely,
Tracie Amburgey
