February 28, 1941 Old Power Plant Being Razed as NPA Project- Razing of a large brick building on the Ohio Power company property east of the Johnson street railroad crossing started this week. The work is being done as an NPA project, sponsored by Ada council. The building now being torn down was erected about 50 years ago by the Ada Water & Light company, and served as a local power plant until power was brought in on high tension lines by the original company’s successor, the Suburban Power company. In recent years the Ohio Power company, now serving the district, has used the structure for storage.
