Cleveland TV station WKYC recently interviewed Ohio Northern University alum Katie Oriti, who is working with a team, which launched a NASA satellite in December. The satellite is about the size of a loaf of bread. Oriti is the team leader.

In December, NASA Glenn Research Center sent into space a satellite about the size of a loaf of bread, call ALBus. And if this mission is successful, it could power a next generation of small exploration.
James S. Masi, 61, died on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at 6:03 p.m. OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton.
He was born on March 30, 1957, in Findlay, Ohio, to the late James A. and Marianne (Cimini) Masi. On Feb. 16, 1980, James married the love of his life and lifelong companion, Terry Masi and she survives in Kenton.
James retired from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office where he worked as a deputy sheriff from 1980 to 2016.
Also surviving are his children: Raymond Driesbaugh of Kenton and Shannette Teneyck of Kenton; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and a sister, Susan Masi of Kenton.
Sheila A. Furry, 77, died on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at 3:10 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born on Oct. 23, 1941, in Lima, to Leo E. and Helen L. (Newman) Sibert, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 18, 1973 Sheila married Thomas E. “Tom” Furry and he survives in Lima.
Due to the bitter cold and icy roads, Bridge Bereavement Services is rescheduling the January "Living through Loss" presentation titled "Understanding Depression through Grief" for Monday, Jan. 28, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Marathon Auditorium of Blanchard Valley Hospital.
This is the same time, location and presenter, only a different date. The original date for this event was Jan. 21.
