Icon's intern finishing ONU coursework from St. Petersburg, Russia
Ada Icon's spring intern has returned home - to St. Petersburg, Russia. Elizaveta Dyachuk, a junior business management major, compiled several 15-minute interviews with ONU international students for the Icon.
She is now taking classes online from a distance of 7 hours from Ada.
Here's her update:
"Everything changed so quickly, I barely had time to sleep. But I'm doing well now, I'm back in St. Petersburg. My family is happy to see me, they are good also.
"I'm staying at my apartment as well, completing my ONU online studies. All universities and schools are closed in Russia, so my sister is staying with me, doing her assignments online.
"I left on Sunday (March 22), the flight was long, in total around 14 hours, but I had no difficulties with buying tickets as our sponsorship program took care of it.
"When I flew in Moscow, our government requested to fill out some forms about the country we were coming from and put our addresses. That's basically it."
"And, yes, I keep in touch with my host family, friends and professors."
