Owls and book making on library's calendar next week

Two programs of interested are on the Ada Public Library calendar next week.

The Black Swamp Raptor Rehab Center will be bringing live owls for this fun and educational program. Learn about the birds of prey and how group members rehabilitate injured animals.

Imagine Consultants of Findlay offer free screening mammograms July 10

Imaging Consultants of Findlay, Inc., offer free screening mammograms at Woman Wise on Eastern Woods Campus, 15900 Medical Drive South, Findlay, Tuesday, July 10.

The free screening is part of the Hancock County Mammography Screening Initiative, (HCMSI).

Ada's Community Garden looking good after HOBY volunteers do their thing

June 9 was another picture-perfect Saturday. A work crew of a dozen volunteers, gardeners, and coordinators gathered at the 121 S. Johnson St. community garden to add compost to the garden beds, clean up hedge rows around the perimeter, and repaint a table for the deck.

Upon learning that a group of high school students would be available to serve in Ada on June 9, Joan Zachariah - ReStore Community Center’s Village Garden Coordinator - worked with former coordinator and current AmeriCorps VISTA member serving at ReStore, Julie Brewer, to plan for a workday.
