The deadline to enter into a contract with the H2Ohio program for farmers in the 14-county, Maumee River watershed is being extended.

The original deadline was March 31 but due to COVID-19, more farmers and Soil and Water Conservation District personnel are conducting information exchanges through phone calls and e-mails.

The H2Ohio deadline is expected to be extended to June 2, tentatively. Contact your local Soil and Water Conservation District for more details.

Cathy Ann McNeely,  55, died on Friday, March 20, 2020, at 9:16 a.m. at her residence in Bellevue, Ohio.

She was born on March 13, 1965 in Lima, Ohio to the late Richard L. “Dick” and Bonnie M. (Wireman) Counts.  On March 2, 1992, Cathy married Warren “Mac” McNeely and he survives in Bellevue.

Cathy is also survived by her three sons: Jermaine (Mandi) Platt of Lebanon, Jordan (Karleigh Ripley) McNeely of  Sandusky, and Joshua (Ivett) McNeely of Beaufort, S.C.; seven grandchildren: Jayce, Kingston, Maddox, Duke, Geovanny, Makenna and Daxton; brother, John (Bonnie) Counts; a sister, Linda (Marc) Staley; and many nieces and nephews.

Keley Ralston of the Kenton-Hardin County Health Department issued a statement addressing weddings and funerals in Hardin County. The letter follows:  

As of today, March 19, pursuant state and local directives wedding and funerals can take place.

They are not violating the SO-person gathering rules or the rules for maintaining social distance. In both events people are attending these events from out of county as well as in county.

However, the remaining question has been presented on wedding receptions or after funeral luncheons and/or dinners.

The Kenton-Hardin Health Department has issued a letter of interim guidance for employers.

The letter spells out several things related to the COVID-19 virus. To read the letter open the attachment below.

The Village of Ada announced on its website today that the Kenton-Hardin Health Department is asking for donations of medical personal protective equipment.

The list of items needed includes: 
Gowns
Non-Sterile Gloves
Surgical Masks (ear loop)
N95 Masks - all sizes
Hand Sanitizer 
Boot covers

All donations must be in sealed manufactured packaging. Donations are being acccepted 7 days a week, from  8 a.m. - 4 p.m., at the Hardin County Sheriff's Office, 1025 S. Main St, Kenton.
