Gary L. Moore, Sr., age 69, of Ada, passed away at his residence on Monday, June 23, 2025.

He was born on November 19,1955 in Greenup, Kentucky to the late Carl and Bertha (Cole) Moore.  Gary married Barbara A. Edmond on January 7, 1989 and she preceded him in death on March 5, 2024.

Gary is survived by his four children: Anthony (Cindy) Moore of Gibsonburg, Gary (Susan) Moore, Jr. of Shawnee, Roger Moore of Marion and Christa Moore of Columbus; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers: Dennis Moore and Michael Moore; and sister, Brenda Stapleton.

ADA__Several members of the Bulldog softball program survived the mid-90s heat and sun to participate in the first-ever Ada softball camp Monday, June 23 at the War Memorial Park’s varsity diamond.

Recent Ohio State first team All-Big 10 selections Kami Kortokrax of Kalida and Reagan Milliken from Pittsburgh served as the main instructors at the camp. 

Anna Marie Beagle, 76, passed away June 22, 2025 at her residence. Anna was born September 6, 1948 in Bluffton to the late Elmer and Mary (Koontz) Binkley. In June of 1973, she married William Beagle who survives.

Anna graduated from Ada High School and later received her bachelor's degree from the Ohio State University-Lima. She proudly dedicated thirty-nine years to teaching fifth grade at Allen East Elementary School.

Anna enjoyed flower gardening, reading and traveling--especially to see her grandchildren in Oklahoma--visiting Amish country and watching movies.

Recent polling indicates that an overwhelming majority of Americans, including me, oppose the U.S. becoming directly involved in the Israel-Iran conflict. In addition, Congress was neither consulted nor granted the opportunity to approve the June 21 strikes on Iran, as required by both the Constitution and the 1973 War Powers Act.

This war with Iran was instigated by a President who has repeatedly shown poor judgment—just consider his erratic tariff behavior as one example.
