ICYMI: August 2025 AdaIcon.com Highlights
By Paula Pyzik Scott
Ada Icon and Bluffton Icon editor
Welcome to Ada Icon Highlights, an experiment in providing an overview and print document covering a month of AdaIcon.com news. In May 2025 I talked with a friend who regretted not tuning into the Icon more often. She had missed some obituaries and really felt like she was out of the loop.
That conversation spurred me to create monthly highlights that provide items that are of lasting interest to the community. If this is a feature you'd like to see on a regular basis, I welcome your feedback. Email [email protected] or let me know next time I see you.
Starting with August 2025, I will be providing complimentary Ada Icon Highlights to the Ada Public Library, Beatitudes, Heterick Library at Ohio Northern, Vancrest and the Village of Ada municipal offices. These are single copies for use at these facilities. Whether there will ever be a print Ada Icon Highlights for sale remains to be determined.
This issue includes some favorite summer activities as well as previews of fall attractions. Highlights will be a small slice of what appears online. In August 2025, we published 110 news items on AdaIcon.com!
I am always interested in putting more Ada in the Icon. If you are interested in freelance opportunities as a writer, reporter or photographer, please reach out to me at [email protected] or 567-400-4266.
