TIFFIN - One of five Ada track and field regional qualifiers competed in day one of the Div. III meet at Tiffin's Hoernemann Stadium Wednesday evening.
Bulldog junior Alex Morgan finished 14th in the 300 hurdle preliminaries to miss out on regional finals qualification Friday. Bluffton's Xavier Dunifon finished first in the 300 hurdle prelims.

DELPHOS - Three Ada girls received All-Northwest Conference softball notice in voting by the league coaches Monday night at Delphos.
Ada senior outfielder Alexis Ennis was named second team all-league, while senior infielder Raina England and sophomore pitcher Leona Dalton received honorable mention notice.
Ennis played a strong center field for Ada this spring. The speedster batted leadoff and hit .373. A good contact hitter, she put the ball in play during 80 of her 85 plate appearances.
Ennis knocked out 31 hits and had a 16-game hitting streak. She started every game and played well on defense.
In ONU's Men's Track & Field, the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) named Ian McVey, Andrew Buderer, Luke Shellhaas All-Great Lakes Region for 2019 season.
From the Women's Track & Field team, the USTFCCCA awarded Avery Ewing and Maggie Krause All-Great Lakes Region honors for 2019 season.
To be recognized, a student-athlete must finish among the top-five individual or top-three relay performances in an event on their respective NCAA Division III regional performance list. Further details follow:

“As Welcome As Flowers That Bloom In The Spring”
The Icon recently carried an article on planned street work along Ada’s east side; a reminder that flowers are not the only thing appearing in Ada when the weather warms.
During the Ada High School band spring concert on May 20 band, fall color guard and winter guard members were recognized as well as first chair players.
All band members received their first-year letter or chevron. The following students received special recognition:
