Hickman wins 2 races / Results for Columbus Grove Invitational

HARROD __The Ada girls track and field team won a four-team meet at Allen East on Tuesday, April 21.

The Bulldog girls scored 90 points to out-pace second-place Elgin (78). Delphos Jefferson tallied 46.5 points, while AE was fourth at 27.5.

Host AE racked up 124.5 points to win the boys meet. Ada took second at 67. Elgin tallied 37 points to end up third, while DJ scored 23.5.

GIRLS RESULTS
Bulldog senior Anna Conley took first in the discus (98-5), and she came in second in the shot put (29-1).

MEDIA RELEASE__Upper Scioto Valley defeated Temple Christian 12-4 Monday night in Northwest Central Conference action. Caiden Lowery recorded his first career varsity win as a pitcher in the game. 

Upper Scioto Valley improved to 1-7 overall and 1-2 in the Northwest Central Conference. Temple fell to 0-4, 0-3.

The Rams are back in action Tuesday evening when they host Elgin in another NWCC contest.

ADA__The Ada High School tennis team battled hard but lost to visiting Elida 5-0 in a battle of the Bulldogs at their delayed home opener on a sunny but cool Monday evening, April 20.

The improving Ada netters dropped to 0-3 after the loss. Elida improved to 5-5 with the victory.

“I am proud of the players, I saw so much progress,” said first-year Ada head coach Shelleigh Alexander. “We have only been able to play three matches.”

LEIPSIC__The visiting Ada High School softball team run-ruled Leipsic 14-0 in a Blanchard Valley Conference mismatch on Monday, April 20.

The Bulldogs jumped ahead 5-0 after the first inning, then put the game out of reach with a seven-run second frame. Ada tacked on two more runs in the third inning.

The Bulldogs out-hit Leipsic, 12-2.

Ada improved to 13-2 overall and 3-2 in the BVC with the lopsided road win. The Bulldogs are 4-1 in away games and 9-1 at home.  

Leipsic fell to 2-8 overall and 2-3 in BVC play with the defeat.

LEIPSIC__The visiting Ada High School baseball team lost 10-0 to Blanchard Valley Conference co-leader Leipsic on Monday, April 20.

The Bulldogs fell behind 4-0 after the first inning. The Vikings tallied two runs in the second frame, then added three in the third.

A Leipsic run in the home fourth invoked the 10-run rule after Ada went scoreless in the top of the fifth.

The Bulldogs were out-hit 10-3 as Leipsic swatted four doubles. Ada committed two errors, and the Vikings made one miscue.
