Ada harriers run at Kenton Invite
Three Ada cross country runners participated in the annual Kyle Althauser Memorial Invitational meet Thursday evening in Kenton.
Bulldog senior Riley Ferguson finished 36th in a time of 21:37.5 as the lone Ada male runner.
Hunter Sidle of Allen East finished first in the 68-runner boys race in 17:00.5.
Marion Pleasant won the seven-team boys team title with 30 points. St. Marys was a distant second with 58 points. Kenton was third (105), Allen East fourth and Hardin Northern fifth (110).
Ada sophomore Jillian Hazelton crossed the line 22nd in the 43-runner girls race with a time of 27:22.6.
Lady Bulldog sophomore teammate Elsie Allen finished 28th in 28:37.8.
Freshman Allison Woodruff of Riverdale won the girls race in 19:42.
St. Marys won the girls team title with 26 points, while Kenton finished second (30). Nine other teams were represented but did not have enough runners for a team score.
Ada did not have the requisite five runners to compile a boys or girls team score.
The Northwest Conference title meet is Saturday morning, Oct. 16 at Van Wert.
