Ohio Northern used a 20-4 first half run to take control, then played solid defense in the second half to post a 63-47 men's basketball victory over Baldwin Wallace Wednesday night at the ONU Sports Center.

The Ohio Northern women's basketball team remained ranked No. 8 in the eighth weekly D3hoops.com poll and moved up one spot to No. 9 in the USA Today Sports Division III Coaches poll.
The Polar Bears received 441 votes in the D3hoops.com poll, which was two more than they received in last weeks poll.
DePauw (Ind.) stayed at the top of the poll with 623 points and 23 of the 25 first place votes, Calvin (Mich) is ranked second with 598 points and the two remaining first place votes and Hope (Mich.) is third with 538 points.
You can't have a Super Bowl without Ada, Ohio. But you already know that. The 2013 Super Bowl footballs are already created and shipped – and there are lots of them. Each ball was created in Ada.
According to officials at the Ada Wilson factory, 54 balls were shipped to the Baltimore Ravens and 54 to the San Francisco 49ers. Those will be used for pre-Super Bowl practice.
Beyond that, 54 balls are used by each team during the Super Bowl. Then, there are 12 “kicker” balls, called “K” balls used by the game officials.
