ADA__The Ada High School tennis team battled hard but lost to visiting Elida 5-0 in a battle of the Bulldogs at their delayed home opener on a sunny but cool Monday evening, April 20.
The improving Ada netters dropped to 0-3 after the loss. Elida improved to 5-5 with the victory.
“I am proud of the players, I saw so much progress,” said first-year Ada head coach Shelleigh Alexander. “We have only been able to play three matches.”
LEIPSIC__The visiting Ada High School softball team run-ruled Leipsic 14-0 in a Blanchard Valley Conference mismatch on Monday, April 20.
The Bulldogs jumped ahead 5-0 after the first inning, then put the game out of reach with a seven-run second frame. Ada tacked on two more runs in the third inning.
The Bulldogs out-hit Leipsic, 12-2.
Ada improved to 13-2 overall and 3-2 in the BVC with the lopsided road win. The Bulldogs are 4-1 in away games and 9-1 at home.
Leipsic fell to 2-8 overall and 2-3 in BVC play with the defeat.

This is a great opportunity for children and families to explore a variety of vehicles, learn about different careers, and interact with local professionals in a hands-on environment. The event will take place in the parking lot near the ONU football stadium. Free-will donations will be collected for St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
