FROM FACEBOOK__The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce is raffling six custom-made Wilson Footballs for the Harvest and Herb Festival.
The six footballs will be custom-made for the 40th anniversary of the festival. Tickets may be purchased from any Ada Area Chamber board member, at Century 21 or the day of the festival, Sept. 19.
Tickets are six for $5. Money raised from the raffle will go toward next year's festival.

On August 25, 2026, we lost the beautiful and talented Dolly Parton. She left a wonderful legacy as a country music writer and performer. Her kindness was legendary. Dolly worked with so many different artists and covered many different genres, but she was pure country in her early career. On her fifth album with country legend Porter Wagoner in 1970, they recorded the song “Before Our Weakness Gets Too Strong.” In 1971, they won the Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a group or duo for the album Once More.
FROM FACEBOOK__The Ada Public Library is hosting a class on floral arrangements on Saturday, September 12 at 1:00 p.m. The class is limited to 20 spots so if you're interested in attending, please register in advance.

LIMA__The unbeaten Ada High School volleyball team dropped the first set, but came back to beat Lima Temple Christian on the road in a four-set match on Thursday, September 3.
Ada improved to 6-0 with the 16-25, 26-24, 25-20, 25-12 non-league victory.
DELPHOS – The visiting Ada High School girls soccer team defeated Delphos Jefferson 3-0 in a weather-delayed non-league match to stay unbeaten on Thursday, September 3.
Sophomore Shay Smith scored two Bulldog goals to pace Ada to victory. Her first goal was assisted by Kenley Poling and gave the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead at intermission.
Ada junior Rose Baxter tallied a goal off a Smith assist to double the lead to 2-0.
Smith then tacked on another insurance goal via a penalty kick to put the game out of reach.
