FROM FACEBOOK__Beginning on July 13, the Ada Muncipal Pool will be opening early for adults and children 12 & under to enjoy the pool. All children must be accompanied by an adult and will not be admitted unless an adult is coming in, too.

The middle and deep sections of the pool will not be open due to lap swim occurring from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. .

Those admitted may continue to stay at the pool for normal hours at no additional cost.

Dates: July 13-17 
July 20-22 
July 27-31

Cost: $5 per person; children 3 and under are free. Pool passes are accepted.

MEDIA RELEASE__The Hardin County Sports Hall of Fame held its 14th annual Banquet on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at St John's Church in Kenton. Six individuals and one team were inducted into the Class of 2026.

Hubert Summa, 97, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, in Foraker, Ohio.

Born on October 13, 1928, in Breathitt County, Kentucky, to Lee Summa and Daisy (Joseph) Summa.

Hubert’s life spanned nearly a century of cherished memories and enduring love.

MEDIA RELEASE__A summer kids’ Vacation Bible School called ‘True North VBS’ will be hosted at Alger Assembly of God from Monday, June 22 to Friday, June 26.

At ‘True North’ VBS, kids will discover that they can trust Jesus in a wild world! Kids will sing unforgettable Bible songs, play team-building games, take part in one-of-a-kind Bible Adventures, and receive snacks to take home. Each day concludes with a celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned.

ADA – The Ada summer swim team lost to visiting West Ohio Aquatic League rival Westside on an unseasonably chilly and windy Thursday evening, June 18.

The Waves took the combined dual meet by a 552-240 score.

The Ada boys team had their three-meet win streak snapped with a 242-157 defeat.The Gator boys fell to 3-2 this summer with the result.

Westside beat the short-handed Ada girls, 310-83. The Gator girls dropped to 0-5this season after the loss. Ada is 0-5 in combined meets.

MEDIA RELEASE--St. Mark Lutheran will be serving up it's Community Meal on Wednesday, June 24, from 5:00 to 6:30, or whenever we run out. 

This meal is free and open to the public. 

This menu is sub sandwich, coleslaw, melon, and cookie. 

As always you can dine in, carry out, or drive up for curbside service with a limit of 8 meals per vehicle.  If you require more than 8 we ask that you call us at 419-792-0911 by noon on Tuesday so we can be better prepared. Please come in for large carry orders to help keep the drive up line moving.

St Mark Lutheran is located at the corner of Lincoln and Johnson Streets in Ada.
