Sheriff Everhart 30th anniversary message
Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart posted the following message on his department's Facebook page on December 28.
Today marks my 30th year at the Sheriff’s Office. I began my career at the S/O December 28th, 1993. It has been quite the journey and I could not be more proud of the things that have been accomplished over the past 30 years. I spent 15 years as a Deputy working under Sheriff George Smith and then Sheriff Craig Leeth before being elected as Sheriff myself. I thank them both for the opportunities and guidance they gave me. The last 15 years I’ve spent as your Sheriff and am so humbled by the fact that you all have allowed me to have the best job in the world. I appreciate the support you have shown me and my staff over the years. We are a team, I’ve accomplished nothing alone. This is a team effort profession and let me tell you, you have the best people ever working at the Hardin County S/O.
I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge my family and friends. The support and understanding they’ve shown me over the years is amazing. I could not do this job without them. I thank them and love them all.
The last thank you goes to the good Lord almighty. Without him I am nothing. It is by his grace and love that I’m allowed to be in the position that I am in. It’s his plan and I am simply trying to follow it.
I simply wanted to say thanks. Thanks for the opportunity to serve you as your Sheriff. I look forward to many more years serving you and doing my part to make Hardin County one of the best places in Ohio to live and raise your families.
