FROM FACEBOOK__The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hardin County congratulated the 27 "amazine, supportive and committed community members" who took part in the December 20 Run Rudolph 5K race in Ada.
The 1st place male and female runners were Kristin Salyer and Joey Carl.
Five large wood benches will provide new seating at Ada's War Memorial Park come spring, thanks to D Squared Construction of Alger. The company has a tradition of supporting area veterans' organizations with an annual project. This year Ream- McElroy VFW Post 9381 was the recipient and, in turn, the post identified the Liberty Township park as the best location for the memorial benches.

ADA__The Ada High School girls basketball team lost a 47-40 battle to visiting non-conference opponent Continental on Saturday afternoon, December 20.
The visiting Pirates outscored the Bulldogs by a combined total of 25-17 in the second and fourth periods to spell the difference.
The Bulldogs dropped to 6-4 overall with the defeat. Putnam County League foe Continental improved to 4-5 after the victory.
Ada led 9-8 after the first quarter, but fell behind 21-18 at halftime. The Pirates authored a 13-9 second period as Morgan Shock knocked down two triples, and Kamryn Searfoss added another trifecta.
