Madrid, who lives in Chicago, has published poems in “Best American Poetry 2013,” “Boston Review,” “Fence,” “Lana Turner,” “LIT” and “Poetry”. His first book is called “I Am Your Slave Now Do What I Say.” He has written in forms such as the ghazal and rhyming quatrain, bringing a contemporary, associative, and surreal sensibility to received forms.
Ohio Northern University’s Pettit College of Law presents James E. Krier, Earl Warren DeLano professor of law at the University of Michigan, as part of the Dean’s Lecture Series in the Celebrezze Moot Court Room on Tuesday, April 14, at 11 a.m.
The title of Krier’s presentation is “Talking About Property.” The event is free and open to the public.
Krier will lead a discussion about property: why we have property, why property law works the way it does, what we think the law can accomplish, and what we think it can’t accomplish. This will be a give-and-take discussion with audience members, who are encouraged to ask questions and participate.
