Ada's latest news

The Ada High School Marching Band competed in two competitions this past Saturday. 

The band traveled to Columbus early Saturday morning to compete in the Buckeye Invitational at Ohio Stadium. Following this performance, the band packed everything up, headed to the mall for lunch (still in competition attire garnering a lot of stares) then traveled to Zanesville to compete in the Maysville High School Band Competition. 

The $2.1 million East Lima Avenue reconstruction project is nearing completion. Vehicles are now permitted on the street as construction crews put final touches on the project.

The Reconstruction Project is funded in part by grants from the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Ohio Public Works Commission.

Among major timeline events in the project include:
September 2012 – Ada council held public meeting to explain details of the project. Included in the reconstruction are a new 48-inch diameter storm sewer and a new 12-inch diameter water main.

We're still working on all the names, and here goes our attempt at idenficiation.  We don't have the name of the girl on the far left, but seated next to her is Meagan, Morgan and Miranda. The cannon in the Ada depot park is as much a part of Ada community as the Bulldog is to Ada High School. The cannon, place in 1903, commemorates soldiers who fought in the Civil War.
