Hardin County communities announce their Halloween plans for the end of this month. Those plans follow:
Oct. 27: Ada will hold its costume parade at 6 p.m. with registration beginning at 5:30 p.m. Buy Ada First will sponsor a soup cook off/contest and the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a pie contest both at the Ada Depot from 5-7 p.m.
Oct. 29: Forest will hold its Halloween parade at 6:30 p.m. with costume judging beginning at 6 p.m. Dunkirk’s parade will begin at 7 p.m.
Icon viewers have until Friday, Oct. 17, to nominate an area farmer to the 2014 Hardin County Agriculture Hall of Fame, accoridng to Mark Badertscher of the OSU Extension Office.

The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce will meet at 8 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Community Health Professionals, according to Deb Curlis, chamber president.
The meeting is open to all persons interested in chamber activities.
Rhodes State College, Lima, will present information on the college admissions process at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the Kenton High School cafeteria.
Items covered are the college admissions process, financial aid, and the benefits of starting at Rhodes State College.
Representatives from Admissions and Financial Aid will be available to help schedule a campus visit, discover pathways to an affordable bachelor’s degree, and answer all of your college questions.
