The Blanchard Pleasant Buckeyes met on June 17 in the Hardin Northern Ag Building.  Summary of the meeting follows:

Ohio Northern University graduate Raymond “Ray” Richard Kohli, 93, died June 18, 2019.

Ray surivors include his wife of 70 years, Alice (Meyer); children, Debra (Douglas) Goare, Beverly (Michael) Geyer, Gary (Linda) Kohli, and Todd (Katie) Kohli, grandchildren, Alexander (Jordan) Goare, Austin (Kellie) Goare, Dr. Stephanie Goare (Kevin Sprang), Ashley (Brian) Chrencik, Kerri Geyer, Tyler Kohli, and Kyle Kohli, and five great-grandchildren, Brycen, Jaxton, Avery, Kensington, and Graham, nephews, Robert (Anita) Kison, Eugene (Betty) Kohli, and Robert (Donna) Kohli.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced that Ohio has received a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) disaster declaration for flooding that occurred in Auglaize County on May 17, opening up the possibility of low-interest disaster loans for business owners, homeowners, and renters in Auglaize County and six adjacent counties.

"Earlier this week, I requested this disaster declaration in an effort to help those impacted by these floods," said Governor DeWine. "I'm pleased that those with uninsured damage can now apply for this assistance."

Between County Road 99 and State Route 12, will shift into final traffic pattern

Interstate 75  in Findlay, southbound between county Road 99 and state Route 12, will be shifted into its final traffic pattern overnight Friday, June 28, into the early morning hours of Saturday, June 29.

Two lanes of traffic will be shifted from the outside shoulder and into their final pattern, closer to the median wall. Construction of the concrete median wall in the area is complete.

The new third lane of Interstate 75 southbound will remain closed in the area as crews install guardrail and signage.

The Ohio Northern women's basketball program will kick off its 2019-20 campaign under 19th-year head coach Michele Durand on Tuesday, November 12 with a road contest against Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Anderson (Ind.) at 7 p.m.

Following their season opener, the Polar Bears will make a northwestern trek to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the 2019 Wisconsin Lutheran Tournament on Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23. ONU is scheduled to face off against the tournament host on Friday evening before battling Wisconsin-Oshkosh Saturday afternoon.

Ada Public Library hosts a Coloring Club today, Friday, June 28, at 3:30 p.m. All ages are welcome.

Attendees will receive a ticket to win prizes. This is part of the summer reading program.
