The Village Of Ada Council met on November 19 at 115 W. Buckeye with one member of the public attending and three news outlets. Mayor Dave Retterer conducted the meeting with all councilors present.
Claims registers totalling $118,106 and minutes from the prior meeting were approved unanimously. (Packet attached)

N. Gilbert St. resident Pam Tenwalde addressed council regarding the construction of an addition to the Ada-Liberty EMS building with a 3-bay garage facing Gilbert St.
The agenda for the November 19 Village of Ada Council meeting includes a 1st Reading of "An Ordinance to Extend the Prohibition of Adult Use Cannabis Operators and Medical Marijuana Cultivators, Processors, and Retail Dispensaries within the Village of Ada for an Additional Period of Six (6) Months from Effective Date Hereof."
Other legislation to be considered:
2nd Reading of an Ordinance Amending Certain Sections of Chapter 741 (Peddlers and Solicitors) of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Ada, Ohio.
1st Reading of an ordinance establishing the annual appropriations for Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 2025.
Pursuant to Sections 4928.20(C) and 4929.27(B) of the Ohio Revised Code, the Village of Ada, Ohio shall conduct a combined public hearing for the purpose of obtaining public input on the Plan of Operation and Governance of the natural gas and electricity aggregation program.

The meeting included final approval of the contract including new, lower refuse collection rates, hiring part-time police officer Justin R. Jackson, a report on 2024 Community Pool profits and the awarding of a grant for the demolition of a fraternity house at Gilbert St. and Lima Ave. The meeting packet is on the Village website HERE.
