Summary of August 17 Ada Board of Education meeting

The Ada Schools Board of Education met on Thursday, August 17 with members Ron Fleming, Matt Gossman, Ted Griffith and Amy Mullins in attendance. Steve Ramey was absent. The meeting packet is attached HERE.

Summary of August 25 Ada Council meeting

The Tuesday, August 15 regular meeting of the Ada Council was conducted by Mayor Dave Retterer and attended by all council members. In keeping with standard procedure, the meeting began with the paying of bills and approval of minutes from the prior meeting.

Liberty Township board meeting cancelled for August 21

The Liberty Township trustees will not meet on Monday, August 21 for lack of a quorum.

The Liberty Township Board of Trustees meets the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Jackson Township Hall, located at 110 E. Buckeye Ave., Ada, OH 45810.

Agenda for August 15 Ada Council Meeting

The agenda for the August 15 regular meeting of the Ada village council is HERE.

Details from the agenda are brief. In addition to the standard business of paying bills and hearing department and committee reports, it includes one resolution: 

A Resolution of the Council of the Village of Ada Adopting the Federally Approved 2023 Hardin County Hazard Mitigation Plan.

USV School announcement on meal and milk programs

Healthcare opportunity also announced

Upper Scioto Valley School has announced its 2023-2024 program year policy free and reduced-price meals for students unable to pay the full price of meals or milk served under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast, After School Care Snack or Special Milk Programs.  Each school office and the central office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by any interested party.

Summary of August 1 Ada Council meeting

New police officers introduced, stray cat behavior discussed

With no legislation or ordinances on the agenda, the August 1 regular meeting of the Ada Council was relatively brief; Councilors Oestreich and Coressel were absent and legal counsel Jane Napier attended via Zoom.

The meeting was conducted by Mayor Dave Retterer and began with unanimous support for paying of Village bills as presented. Details are in the attached packet.
