OCT 26 MEDIA RELEASE__St. Mark Lutheran Church will be serving up its last community meal for 2025 this Wednesday, October 29, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., or whenever we run out. The church is located at the corner of Lincoln and Johnson in Ada.
The meal is free and open to the public. This month's menu consists of meatloaf, corn, scalloped potatoes, fruit and a cookie. As always, you may dine in, carry out, or drive up for curbside service.
We ask that if you require more than eight meals per car, you call the church at 419-792-0911 before noon on Tuesday, so that we can be better prepared to serve as many as possible.
The Alger Assembly of God will hold a Fall Fest with activities and food on Sunday, October 26, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. The church is located at 7050 OH-235, Alger.
Hay rides, face painting, games, a photo booth and prizes are part of the festivities. Hot dogs and marshmallows will be served. Mama D's Soda Shoppe Truck will have items for sale.
Organizers specify no costumes; wear flannel or fall apparel.

OCTOBER 15 MEDIA RELEASE__The Ada School District is sponsoring a veterans’ breakfast on Tuesday, November 11. Breakfast will be served from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m in the school cafeteria.
There will be a speaker and a brief presentation at 8:30 a.m.
We invite all veterans and their families, as well as active duty service personnel who live, work or worship within the boundaries of the Ada Exempted Village Schools to honor us with their presence on this day.

OCT 13 MEDIA RELEASE__Ada Rotary Club is accepting questions from the public in advance of its forum for Ada Board of Education candidates October 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the Forum in Dicke Hall on the campus of Ohio Northern University. The public is invited to attend.

All five candidates for two open seats are participating. They include David Allen, Ted Griffith, Kyle Poling, Amanda Raines and Jay Salyer. Mr. Griffith is the only incumbent.
