July 31 Community Meal

St. Mark Lutheran Church--located at the corner of Lincoln and Johnson Streets in Ada--will be having their monthly community meal on Wednesday, July 31, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., or whenever supplies run out. 

The meal is free and open to the public. This month's menu is a slightly lighter fare.  The meal will consist of a sub sandwich, chips, fruit and cookies.  You may dine in, carry out or drive up for curbside service.

Ada Schools volleyball alumni game invitation

All Ada High School volleyball alumni are invited to join an August 9 alumni game. Organizers encourage past players to "reconnect with old teammates and show off your skills on the court. Don't miss out!"

The event includes a scrimmage with the 2024-2025 Varsity team. Alumni are encouraged to attend whether or not they are playing. 

The event begins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9.

Admission is free.

The 2024 Patrick Archer Memorial Softball Tournament and Fundraiser is scheduled for September 14, 2024.

Pie lovers invited to compete in 2nd annual Farmers & Merchants contest

The Ada Ohio Historical Society hopes you're hungry! The organization is hosting its 2nd annual pie eating contest at the 2024 Farmer's & Merchant's Picnic.

The contest will be held at 2:30 on Saturday August 10 at Ada War Memorial Park.

Noteworthy Community Choir hosts potluck & concert on July 28

Noteworthy Community Choir has issued a public invitation to its community potluck and concert on Sunday, July 28 at 12:30 p.m.

AOHS to host quilt show at Farmers & Merchants Picnic

The Ada, Ohio Historical Society is coordinating a quilt show at the Farmers and Merchants Picnic on Saturday August 10.

There will be both vintage and new quilts exhibited. Organizers note, "We received a lot of interest and positive feedback last year and expect that we will have a good array of quilts!"
