Christmas at the Farm Museum and A Vintage Christmas

Two events take place in December from the Hardin County Historical Museums, according to Linda Iams, director.

Christmas at the Farm Museum is from 1 to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Fair Ground Road, Kenton. This free admission event includes sleigh rides, exhibits from the Black Swampp Buggy Club and a visit from Santa.

A Vintage Christmas is going on now through Friday, Dec. 30, at the Museum, 223 N. Main St., Kenton. Tuesday through Friday hours are 1 to 4 p.m., and on Sunday, Dec. 11, and Sunday, Dec. 18, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

 

 

Santa will be at The Inn at ONU this Saturday.

Join the Inn for Breakfast with Santa at 9 a.m.  Children receive a special gift, time with Santa and a keepsake photo.  Very limited seats available.

Apollo Career Center, 3325 Shawnee Road, Lima, will hold its 27th annual Christmas at Apollo Craft Show Saturday, Dec. 3, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is $3, children 12 and under are free. 

The proceeds from the craft show are divided among the Apollo student clubs to fund community service projects and assist students competing at state and national competitions. 

One of the largest shows in the region, Apollo Career Center hosts over 100 crafters selling home-made and hand-crafted wares.

Twenty vendors have signed up to be at Vancrest of Ada's first annual holiday Craft Fair to be held Saturday, Dec. 10.

The new nursing home, retirement center, rehab facility is pleased with the number of vendors reserving spaces for the fair. Buyers will find crafts from barn siding, painted gourds, LuLaRoe clothing, baked goods, candles, makeup products, and more.

Big parade on Saturday night

The Bluffton Blaze of Lights is more than just a one-day event. In addition to the events taking place on Nov. 26, it includes these elements that continue nightly through Jan. 1:

• the Ream folk art holiday display
• the Gift of Giving light show extravaganza
• Bluffton Main Street business district Christmas window displays
• a tour of Bluffton’s residential yard lighting

The stage is set for the 2016 Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce’s Blaze of Lights. This year’s event, the 30th annual Blaze, begin this weekend in downtown Bluffton. Here is the up-to-the-minute Blaze information.

Friday, Nov. 25, events

The Alger Memorial Festival Committee will hold a country-style breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m., Saturday,  Dec. 3, at the Alger Social Center, 210 N. Main St., Alger.

The menu includes biscuits, sausage gravy, hash browns, scrambled eggs, fried apples, sausage patties and a beverage.
