Hardin County Insight program March 28 in Kenton

The first Hardin County Insight of the year is Thursday, March 28, at the Kenton Elks at 7:30 a.m. with opportunities to network and enjoy a continental breakfast.  The program begins at 8 a.m. and features different speakers at each meeting. “County Insight” also includes brief presentations from the Alliance staff.

Guest speakers for county Insight will be Lisa Frantz, Center Director, Kenton Community Health Center, and Jacqualine Fitzgerald, leading the way with a grass roots project for Murray Park splash pad.

Easter Bunny coming to Ada Park Sunday afternoon

The Easter Bunny is coming to Ada this weekend and you are invited to meet him.

The Ohio Northern University Kappa Alpha Theta, zeta sigma chapter, is sponsoring an Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m., Sunday, March 24, in the War Memorial Park and shelter.

The event is open to families and children of all ages. 

The prizes are large chocolate bunnies that will be given to the children who find "special eggs," according to Gracie Vining, chair of the event.

The event will also have ONU students doing face painting. 

"The Croods" starts Friday at Ada Theatre

"The Croods", an animated movie in which, according to IMDb, "the world's very first prehistoric family goes on a road trip to an uncharted and fantastical world" starts on Friday.

The movie will run from Friday March 22 through Thursday, March 28

Showtimes are:

Friday and Saturday 7 p.m. and  9 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday matinees at 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Daily shows at 7 p.m.

Eggcellent Adventure March 23 at Apollo Career Center

Apollo Career Center  invites the community to its first Eggcellent Adventure, Saturday, March 23. Activities for the whole family begin at 7:30 a.m., culminating with a 10,000 egg, egg hunt on the front lawn of the Career Center. The grand prize will be a lucky winner and their family winning a trip to Disney (family of four).

A pancake breakfast will be served 7:30-11:00 a.m. and includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage and lemonade, adults: $5, and kids under 10, $3. Other food items available include shredded pork, hot dogs, chips, pop, coffee, water and hot chocolate.

Easter Bunny hopping in at Richland Manor for all-ages egg hunt

Games and prizes are on the agenda for an all-ages Easter Egg Hunt at Richland Manor, Sunday, March 24 at 2 p.m.

The event is free and open to all.  The event will include complimentary refreshments and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Identity theft avoidance is topic of latest Lunch and Learn

Sheriff Keith Everhart will speak at the latest community Lunch and Learn on Thursday, April 4 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Community Health Professionals building, 1200 S. Main St., Ada.

Presented by Liberty National Bank and Community Health Professionals, Sheriff Everhart will talk about the danger of identity theft and tips on avoiding becoming a victim of it.

Lunch is provided but reservations must be made.
