Hardin County Democrats will be at the Ada Depot/Railroad Park from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1. Local party members will be present with campaign literature for candidates on the November ballot, campaign yard signs, slate cards and early voting hours.

Voter registration forms and absentee ballot requests will be available. Voter registration ends on October 11, 2022.

From the organizers: "All are welcome to stop by to chat with party members and discuss candidates and issues of concern to Hardin County voters."

The Hardin County Tractor Pullers will host the final hook of 2022 on Saturday, September 24, at War Memorial Park.

  • Gates open at noon.
  • Pull starts at 3:00 p.m.

From the organizers: "Let make this one the biggest and best of the year. We have had a few sponsors donate some extra money for the Limited Street Gas 4x4 Class. Our Tentative order of pull for Saturday is posted on the flyer."

The Ada High School volleyball team will host a Dig for a Cure benefit game at 5:00 p.m. on October 10 vs. Upper Sandusky.

T-shirts are $15 and all proceeds will go to the family of Julie Butterfield who taught at Ada Schools and lost her battle with breast cancer in July. T-shirts need to ordered by Wednesday, Sept. 21 - you can bring the order form with payment to the school. Make checks payable to Ada Athletic Boosters. Order form HERE.

There will be raffle baskets, 50/50 and baked goods to purchase at the game as well.

HARDIN COUNTY–The Hardin County OSU Extension Master Gardener Volunteers are hosting a children’s program at the Friendship Gardens called “Leaf Rubbings, Scarecrows & Scavenger Hunts” on Saturday morning, September 24. This event is from 10:00 a.m. until noon and will provide several activities for kids of all ages. Each child will be able to leave with a leaf rubbing and scarecrow that they made themselves with the help of the Master Gardener Volunteers. There are also garden scavenger hunts planned for the kids.
