Severe storms late today into Thursday; high-impact squall line likely tonight

This news announcement is from AEP-Ohio.

A major severe weather outbreak - including a squall line
tonight - is expected for AEP's East Utilities. The threat area has been
expanded to include all of AEP's East Utilities.  Several disturbances
traversing the top of a hot upper-level ridge will trigger the severe
weather.

Letter: AEP offers potential power outage tips

Dear AEP Ohio Customer:

The National Weather Service in Wilmington, Ohio is predicting a Hazardous Weather Outlook for several counties in Ohio. This threat includes the potential for heavy rainfall, large hail, damaging winds and possibly isolated tornadoes. It is anticipated that this storm system will enter the area late this afternoon and early evening.

Severe weather could mean possible power outages. At AEP Ohio, we continue to monitor the storm's path and are preparing resources to be ready to respond once the threat has passed. AEP Ohio encourages its customers to be prepared as well and to keep these tips in mind:

Sometimes history is written on a postcard. Here's an example. Postmarked June 7, 1915, is a post card from Elizabeth, who is apparently a student at Ohio Northern University. The message follows:

To:

Mr. Chas. Conkle
Howard, Ohio
Knox, Co.,

This is the interior of new Lehr auditorium taken from platform. Wish you many more pleasant and happy birthdays. With Love, Elizabeth.

How is grpa? Will write letter soon. Will be a junior next year.
