She operated Allen's Bar and Grill in Alger

Patricia P. Allen, 82, died on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at 2:42 a.m. at Hardin Hills Health Center, Kenton.

She was born on May 8, 1936, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Joseph and Louise (Plummer) Thompson. On May 28, 1964, Patricia married Kash Allen and he survives in Alger.

Patricia was owner and operator of Allen’s Bar and Grill in Alger.  She loved her cats and enjoyed gardening.

Also surviving is a son, David Allen of Alger; two daughters: Debbie (Ronald) Frazier of Ada and Julia (Steve) McClure of Alger; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jeannie Myers of Lansing, Mich.

Mrs. Etgen, Ada first grade teacher, was the Cat in the Hat in school yesterday. She poses with four first graders who dressed up in wacky clothes. It's all part of a week-long celebration of Dr. Seuss's birthday. Thursday is top hat Thursday and Friday is a day to wear a shirt with words anyone can read. The next photo shows a display in the school media center.
