My memories of the best Christmas ever come in a package wrapped from stores located in the Lima public square.
I know. It's sounds impossible to viewers born after Neil A. walked on the moon; but it's true.
There was nothing...nothing like going to Lima and shopping downtown for Christmas.
Picture this: Somewhere on South Main, Lima, there was Porter's Music Store. You could actually select a 33 1/3 rpm album, enter a listening booth and listen to the album in privacy. That way you'd know if you wanted to buy it or pass.
It’s Sunday in Ada, Ohio. The typical church scene unfolds with gathering people and a sense of waiting for the Christmas celebrations to begin, waiting a bit longer for the adornments of poinsettias and candelabra, waiting for the greens and nativity set, and waiting for all the special touches that come once a year.
Members of the Ada FFA Chapter recently competed in the sub-district FFA Parliamentary Procedure competition held at Delphos Jefferson High School. This Career Development event challenges students to use classroom knowledge in communication skills and conduct a business meeting.
The greenhand team received a silver rating and fourth overall. The senior team received a gold rating and fifth place.
