Joseph Bischoff, 70, died July 13, 2019, at 5:45 p.m. at his residence in rural Ada, Ohio.

He was born Oct. 10, 1948, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Robert J. and Eloise (Walker) Bischoff.   On Dec. 19, 1970 he married Anita (Christopher Berkshire) and she survives.

Joe was a 1966 graduate of Ada High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Urbana University. He was part owner of Highway Oil Company, a family business, for over 20 years and co-owner of the Highway Animal Farm.

Former Ada resident Clarence Byron Weihrauch, 75, of Tombstone  Arizona, died on June 13, 2019. There will be a celebration of life service for him at 4 p.m., Sunday, July 14, at Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, 4945 State Route 81 Ada.

Established a scholarship in chemistry in memory of her daughters

Inara (Mencis) Brubaker, 81, died at 8:35 p.m. on July 2, 2019, at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, Ohio, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. 

She was born in Riga, Latvia, on May 1, 1938, to the late Arnolds and Herta (Stebers) Mencis. 

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Erika J. Brubaker and Andra E. Brubaker, in 1993.

 Inara emigrated to the United States when she was 12 years old, and graduated from Shawnee High School in Lima, Ohio. She retired in 2002 from the UOP/AlliedSignal (now Honeywell International) Research Center.

Mary Ann Jordan, 83, died July 2, 2019, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.  Mary Ann was born Aug. 30, 1935 in Bluffton, Ohio, to the late Clarence and Geneva (Reichenbach) Fleming. On Sept. 17, 1956, she married Richard "Dick" H. Jordan who preceded her in death on March 8, 2019.

Sister of Don Traxler of Ada

Bondetta "Bonnie" Jean Cutcher (nee Traxler), 84, of Brownhelm, died Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Wesleyan Village after a lengthy illness.

Bonnie was born Sept. 22, 1934, in Upper Sandusky and had been an Elyria resident for the past 6 months moving from Brownhelm.

Bonnie graduated from Bowling Green State University. She owned and operated the Brownhelm Store for 31 years, retiring in 1999. She was a Martha Holding Jennings Scholar and taught in Brownhelm School for 7 years and Lorain Elementary School for 11.5 years. After selling the Browhhelm Store she was a substitute teacher for Firelands Elementary School.

Ohio Northern University graduate Raymond “Ray” Richard Kohli, 93, died June 18, 2019.

Ray surivors include his wife of 70 years, Alice (Meyer); children, Debra (Douglas) Goare, Beverly (Michael) Geyer, Gary (Linda) Kohli, and Todd (Katie) Kohli, grandchildren, Alexander (Jordan) Goare, Austin (Kellie) Goare, Dr. Stephanie Goare (Kevin Sprang), Ashley (Brian) Chrencik, Kerri Geyer, Tyler Kohli, and Kyle Kohli, and five great-grandchildren, Brycen, Jaxton, Avery, Kensington, and Graham, nephews, Robert (Anita) Kison, Eugene (Betty) Kohli, and Robert (Donna) Kohli.
