Amelia "Molly" Mathewson, age 42, of Ada, passed away at home on Friday, February 10, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.  

She was born on February 11, 1980, in Lima, Ohio, to Gary Lee and Judith Muriel (Schmenk) McCurdy. Molly was preceded in death by her father. On August 25, 2001, she married her best friend Clint and he survives in Ada with their son Jude.

Molly is survived by her mother; sisters Katy (Eric) Atkinson and Cari (Dan) DeVaughn; brothers Joe (Emily) Bruskotter and Mick (Frances) Bruskotter; and mother and father-in-law Shirley and Bret Mathewson.

Kimberly Currence, age 59, of Alger, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at her residence.  

She was born on May 18, 1963 in Lima, Ohio to the late Stanley and Norma (Bailey) Combs. On February 8, 1986, Kimberly married Dave Currence and he survives in Alger.

Kimberly was a homemaker.  

Also surviving are a daughter, Rachel (Rodney Thompson) Currence of Buckland; a grandson, Walker; three honorary grandchildren, Mekennah, Lea, and Blake; a brother, Richard (Shelly) Combs of Waynesfield; and two sisters, Peggy (Greg) Zeigler of Alger and Jennifer (Jason) Dye of Alger.

Warren E. Fisher, age 67, of Lima, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at 3:15 p.m. at his residence, surrounded by family.   

He was born on December 15, 1955, in Kenton, Ohio to the late Warren J. and Betty R. (Decker) Fisher.

Warren is survived by his five siblings: Jacqueline Stephenson of Ada, Andrea Pifer of Ada, Martin (Diane) Fisher of Ada, Stacia (Mitch) Hall-Boughan of Ada, and Shawn Fisher of Columbus; lifelong friend, Bill Stoupe; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Carolyn L. Rex, age 84, of LaFayette, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Vancrest of Ada. Our angel on earth is now our angel in heaven.

She was born on April 3, 1938 in Lima, Ohio to the late Robert and Diamond (Shrider) Klingler.  On June 8, 1957, Carolyn married Jack M. Rex and he survives in LaFayette.

Family was always first to Carolyn. She loved all children especially her grandchildren, and babysat for many years. She enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, and sewing. Her husband Jack never left her side.  Carolyn retired from Allen East Schools, where she worked as a cook in the cafeteria. She attended the Lima Community Church of the Nazarene.

How do you summarize a life in a few sentences? Some lives are covered using significant dates. Others, via family or work experience. For Amar Bhattacharya, his journey is best shared by chronicling the names he amassed over his lifetime.

Amar Nath Bhattacharya started out as "Bhondul" (meaning 'one who makes everything messy') on October 1, 1934 in what was then called Calcutta, India. Judging by his propensity to leave a mess in his wake, that childhood moniker appeared justified. He switched from "Bhondul" to "Cow Doctor" when he graduated from Bengal Veterinary College in the 1950's and worked as a government veterinarian (one can only assume with cows, based on the nickname) in a small Indian village. Delivering calves and regularly sticking his arms elbow-deep into large animals made "Cow Doctor" yearn for more, thus he leapt at the opportunity to pursue a Ph.D. in pharmacology at the Ohio State University in 1960. If he was ever called any nicknames as a grad student grunt, he never shared it with family.

Russell T. “Pete” Pedersen, Jr., age 78, of Lima formerly of Ada, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023, at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

He was born on February 22, 1944, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to the late Russell and Rae Lydia (Hayes) Pedersen, Sr. On June 28, 1963, Pete married Linda Allen formerly of Alger and she survives in Lima.
