Want to learn more about ebooks and audiobooks?

Chloe Noel, the tech guru at the Ada Public Library, will help library patrons learn about reading and listening to books on various devices. People can stop by the library anytime between 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 24.

Anyone interested will receive a handout with instructions. If you bring your device, she will give you specific instructions. Compatible devices include computers, smartphones, and tablets.

Anyone interested in downloading ebooks/audiobooks will need a valid library card.

The Ohio Northern women's tennis team defeated Emerson (Mass.) to post its fourth straight victory on Wednesday evening at the USTA National Tennis Campus in Orlando, Fla. The Polar Bears improve to 9-2 on the season. Mackenzie Wills (Ada) picked up a victory at singles and doubles.

SEWANEE, Tenn. — The Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team fell 15-1 at Sewanee (Tenn.) in its final contest of its spring break trip on Wednesday evening at Hardee-McGee Field.

The Polar Bears fall to 2-2 overall, while the Tigers improve to 6-1 overall.

Sophomore Ann McArn (Bay Village/Western Reserve Academy) scored the lone Northern goal to lead the Polar Bears.

The truck/tractor pull, called Hillbilly Sound, will be coming to Ada War Memorial Park again this year in early summer. Put this on your calendar: 7-11 p.m. on Friday, June 8. There is usually a pull in the early fall, as well.

The Ottawa-Glandorf side filled King Horn to the rafters on Tuesday evening ...and the crowd went home happy.

O-G defeated Liberty-Benton 48-37 in the regional to advance to the state Elite 8 in Division III girls basketball. During the season, L-B had a nearly perfect record, having lost only one game and that was to its nemesis O-G.

King Horn was a busy place Tuesday with Napoleon taking on Toledo Rogers later in the evening. Tonight (Wednesday, March 7) the boys Division II will play for the district title. Defiance takes on Shawnee at 6:15 p.m. while Wauseon and Van Wert look for a win in the 8 p.m. contest.

AUBURNDALE, Fla. — The Ohio Northern baseball team swept Wentworth (Mass.) 10-0, 7-4 on Wednesday afternoon in a twinbill during the RussMatt Invitational in Auburndale, Fla. The Polar Bears improve to 4-1.

Senior Jason Burkett (Maumee) led the way for Northern during the contests, going a combined 4-for-6 at the plate and adding a game-one pitching victory to his afternoon. Burkett also tallied four RBI and three runs scored.
