Richard L. “Ziggy” Siegenthaler, age 62, died on Tuesday, January 02, 2018 at 12:50 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born on May 6, 1955 in Bellefontaine, Ohio to Max and Juanita (Smith) Siegenthaler. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in West Mansfield. On June 30, 1991 Richard married Robin K. Spradlin and she survives in Ada.
Richard worked for Associated Plastics of Ada. He enjoyed camping and playing video games. He loved his grandchildren and spent as much time as he could with them.
ONU junior Clayton Davidson (Kirtland) has been dubbed the Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for the week of Jan. 2.
Davidson led the Polar Bears at the Washington & Lee (Va.) duals as he posted a perfect 4-0 record, including defeating two nationally ranked opponents.
Davidson earned the honor for the first time in his career.
The junior won by a 4-0 decision in the 174 pound weight class over No. 6-ranked A.J. Aeberli of Coast Guard and also defeated No. 10-ranked Matt Marcotte of North Central 8-3 during the duals.
Brenda Burgy, who some will remember from WLIO TV newscasting, paints a porch sitter, which is a picture of Santa suitable for placing on a porch. Brenda, who now owns her own media/PR consulting firm, joined others during a PaintINN at The Inn on Wednesday evening. The classes are taught by Marilyn Reed at The Inn each month. May 29 The cornerstone for the First Methodist Episcopal Church was set with a copy of the church history, a Methodist hymnal, a work by John Wesley, copies of the Bible, and current copied of Ada’s two newspapers, The University Herald and the Ada Record. The estimated cost for the new church was $26,800, which included the organ.
