Ohio Northern fell in its Ohio Athletic Conference opener 23-9 to No. 9-ranked Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday night at the ONU Sports Center.

The Polar Bears (0-1 overall, 0-1 Ohio Athletic Conference) got decisions over ranked opponents from senior Gavin Nelson (Oregon/Clay) and Sophomore Nate Barcaskey(Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) and were highly competitive in all 10 bouts against the nationally-ranked Yellow Jackets (6-0, 2-0).

The ONU Holiday Spectacular will be presented at the Lima Civic Center Friday through Sunday. All tickets are $5 and are available at all Kewpee locations and at the Freed Center box office from noon-5 p.m., 419-772-1900.
The show will be staged at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The Holiday Spectacular had a successful four-performance run at the Freed Center in Ada two weeks ago

Music on Main features all types of music

Monday's Merry on Main will feature all kinds of music:
• A French horn musician in front of Streamline Insurance
• Carolers strolling down Main Street
• Bagpipers in front of The Cask
• And a sax musician playing around the Depot

Plus, the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce event will find Santa at the Ada First United Methodist Church and a pair of reindeer at the Depot.

The Depot will also be the site of kids crafts and voting for the best business window display.

Merry on Main extends from 5:30-7 p.m.
 

Terry A. Stevens, age 65, died on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 8:43 a.m. at his residence in Ada.

          He was born on August 28, 1952 in Peru, Indiana to the late Russell E. and Lila M. (Mosher) Stevens.  On October 21, 2000 Terry married Erma J. (Wright) Stevens and she survives in Ada.

          Terry retired from the U.S. Navy.  After retirement he worked as a builder in construction.  He attended the Lima First Assembly of God.
