Liberty Township trustees held a special meeting on January 27, 2025 with guest Mike Bacon, Hardin County Auditor, to pass two resolutions required for a levy renewal. (Minutes are attached below for three January 2025 board meetings.)

The trustees passed a resolution requesting a current tax valuation from the County Auditor for a 1 mil replacement levy for five years for Liberty Township current expenses. Also passed was a resolution to proceed with putting the replacement levy on the May 6, 2025 primary election ballot.

Let it Go was written for Disney’s Frozen.  The original song was performed by Idina Menzel, but a shorter version was recorded by Demi Lovato for radio. The original Frozen film was inspired by the Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale The Snow Queen.  

Even though we have had some freezing days over the weeks, the weather is not dampening the spread of infections. 

Ohio is one of many states experiencing a quad-demic.  These four viral infections are COVID-19, influenza (flu), respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and norovirus.  COVID-19, flu, and RSV are all respiratory viruses, but norovirus is a gut virus. 

The Ada-Liberty Joint Ambulance District board provided minutes for the January 20, 2025 regular meeting, attached.

In addition to approving financial reports and payments, the board approved turning over nine accounts to collections for non-payment.

The Village of Ada Streets committee met on February 4 to review Ohio Revised Code section 4511.68, part 10 regarding current and future compliance with state parking requirements for fire stations. Subsequently, the Ada-Liberty Ambulance Board rescinded a letter requesting new parking limits across from the ambulance bay under construction on N. Gilbert St.

From the Allen County Sheriff's Office: Ayan A. Hersi was last seen on the afternoon of January 31, 2025 in Lima, Allen County, Ohio. She was wearing a long black winter coat, tan boots, and dark green sweatpants. Ayan is a 33 year old (DOB: 01-01-1992), black female with black hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 5’ 7” and 125 pounds.
