ELIDA - The Ada softball team was seeded second out of 10 teams in the Div. IV Elida district drawings held Sunday.

 

The Lady Bulldogs (11-6) were seeded behind only league foe Columbus Grove, with dangerous Wayne Trace ranked third. Ada received a first round bye.

 

The Lady Bulldogs will host the winner between Kalida and Continental on Thursday, May 10 in the sectional finals at 5 p.m. Kalida was seeded eighth and will visit seven seed Continental in the first round on Monday, May 7.

The Ada High School Alumni Association will have a golf outing on Saturday, July 9, at Colonial Golfers Club to assist the organization’s scholarship fund. CLEVELAND — Senior Lynn Kelly (Mason) won at No. 2 singles to lead the Ohio Northern women's tennis team in an 8-1 loss at John Carroll in a battle for the Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season title on Sunday afternoon at Cleveland State's Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion.

The Polar Bears end their regular season 18-6 overall and finish their OAC slate 7-1, while the Blue Streaks improve to 14-6 overall and win the league's regular season title with an 8-0 record.

The next Bloodmobile visit in Ada will be from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 14, at Community Health Professionals, 1200 S. Main.
