The Hardin County Family YMCA will utilize the Kenton city pool to offer an Aquacize class along with swim basics and swim strokes beginning in June. The Y pool is temporarily closed for repair.
The Y will offer swim lessons on Tuesday and Thursday mornings beginning June 5. Swim basics class will run from 8:45-9:15 a.m. each day, while the swim strokes class will run from 9:15-9:4S a.m. Aquacize classes will be run on Monday-Wednesday-Friday mornings from 8:4S-9:4S a.m. beginning on June 11.
Awards were presented at the Ada High School senior honor awards banquet on Wednesday evening at the school cafeteria. Departmental awards, scholarships, and scholastic awards were among those announced.
Many businesses, agencies, and organizations provided and presented scholarships totaling over $100,000 to Ada High School graduating seniors last night at an awards banquet. Receiving scholarships were:
Ada High School will honor its graduates of the Class of 2018 on Sunday, May 27, at 2:00 pm in the high school gymnasium. At the Senior Honor Awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 16, it was announced that Olivia Alexander, Kiser Colley, Alexander Hurtig, Lyric Jones, Erryk Katayama, Noah Pinkney and Melina Woods have earned the honor of Valedictorians, while Terry Sheridan was named Salutatorian.

Ada seniors honors banquet is tonight (Wednesday). The seniors final day in school is May 21. Ada HS baccalaaureate in the ONU chapel on May 23. The 2018 commencement is May 27.
Aaron Krepps of Ada has been promoted to head football coach of the Bluffton University Beavers. He was an assistant coach at ONU for two years before joining the Bluffton team a year ago. Aaron and his wife, Lauren, and infant daughter, Harlow, live in Ada.
He replaces Denny Dorrel who resigned after four season to become the Athletics Director at Franklin County High School, his alma mater, in Brookville, Ind. Krepps previously served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Beavers.
