Ada fire and rescue squad responded to a fire alarm on Friday, Sept. 25, at 7:24 p.m., according to the Ada police log.
The report stated that smoke was coming out of window and that someone may be inside the building sat 540 E. Lincoln Ave., Unit 8.
Ada rescue personnel responded to a two-vehicle accident at 2:14 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27. The accident involved injuries and occurred in the 400 block of South Johnson Street.

Hardin County Sheriff’s office responded to a two-vehicle injury accident at the intersection of State Route 67 and 235 at 6:38 a.m., Friday, Sept. 18. Here is the sheriff’s report:
Upon arrival they found that a southbound white Honda Accord driven by Charles Smith, Jr., of Harrod, had pulled from the stop sign on State Route 235 into the path of a westbound Chevy SUV driven by Jade Zartman of Belle Center.
The Chevy SUV struck the Honda broadside in the driver’s side.
The driver of the Honda, Charles Smith, Jr., was declared dead at the scene by EMS. The driver of the Chevy and her minor passengers suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
Ada police received three separate reports of vandalism on Sunday, Sept. 13, according to the police reports. And, later in the evening the police received a report that someone thought a vehicle hit something.

Ada-Liberty Township Fire Department responded to three fire alarm fire calls – twice on Sept. 7 and once on Sept. 8, according to the Ada police docket.
On Sept. 7 at 9:25 p.m. the department had a call from Taggart Law library. Then, at 11:16 p.m. the department had a call from Hill Hall.
On Sept. 8, the department received a second call to Hill Hall, this one at 11:16 p.m.

As a result of vandalism to the Ada depot, Ada’s council moved to close the depot park from dusk to dawn. The action took place at Tuesday’s council meeting.
According to Michael Harnishfeger, police chief, the depot was vandalized on Aug. 18 with graffiti. Words and images were spray painted on the depot. In addition, random vehicles in the community were also hit by vandalism.
The police have two juvenile suspects and charges against them will be filed in Hardin County Juvenile Court, according to Harnishfeger.
