Grand reopening Friday, June 4, with lots of musical options for all ages

A grand reopening of Vicki’s Music Studio and Noteworthy Community Choir is set for  5 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 4, at the studio, 2613 State Route 81, Ada, according to Vicki Mills, studio owner.

“We invite all interested persons to visit our studio, meet our instructors and register for all summer classes and camps,” said Mills.

“You may sign up for private piano or voice lessons,” she said. “And, don’t forget to enter our drawings for tuition discounts plus a grand prize of a full summer tuition remission.”

2021 Ada pool season from May 29 to Aug. 14

While the opening day for the Ada Municipal Pool is May 29, there’s still a change to purchase season passes at an early bird price.

Early Bird pricing is available now through June 20, and the price will increase on June 21.

• Daily admission: $4 per person
   (children 3 and under are free)
• Single Pass: $50
• Family Pass: $175 (2 Adults & 3 children)
   *Up to 4 additional family members may be added to the family pass at $15 each)

The next McGuffey Memories meeting is at 6:30 p.m., Monday, May 24, according to Marianna Watts. The meeting is at the McGuffey Freewill Baptist Church and the main topic is the Memorial Day float. The meeting is open to the public.

 

General manager of The Inn at ONU is the speaker

 Members of the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly meeting at 8 a.m., Wednesday, May 19, in the Ada Public Library meeting room, according to Becky Neville chamber president.

"Our speaker is Kollin Hanes, general manager of the Inn at Ohio Northern University.  There will be time for a 30-second ad update from the membership," she said.  

A chamber Harvest and Herb Festival meeting will follow the membership meeting. 

 

Free USTA introduction to tennis at Ada Park Saturday

The Ada Tennis Association will host a free tennis day at the park courts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 22.

Interactive tennis activities, games and play for adults and children ages 4 on up will take place at the event.

Free tennis balls, prizes and free racquets will be given out. Participants can come anytime May 22, and stay as long as wanted.

The four park courts are located at 401 N. Park Drive in Ada near the pool.
 

The Association reminds viewers that tennis is also a lifetime sport, which is safe and socially distant.

Beatitudes hosts program from June 1 to July 27

Beatitudes will once again host a kid’s summer lunch program, according to Deb Curlis.

The program will begin June 1 and will continue through July 27. Meal pick-ups are each Tuesday from noon to 4 p.m. at Beatitudes, 210 N. Main St., Ada.
