A new class starts in March; registration deadline Feb. 23

The Allen County and Hardin County OSU Extension Master Gardener Volunteers will partner to host a master gardener volunteer training course for new master gardener volunteers this spring.

The Ohio State University Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program provides intensive training in horticulture to interested Ohio residents who then volunteer their time assisting with educational programs and activities for Ohio residents through their local Ohio State University Extension countyoffice.

Volunteers are not required to have gardening skills or knowledge but a passion for learning about gardening and sharing this knowledge with
others is a must.

Here's what it means

Hardin County lowered the Level 3 Snow Emergency to Level 2 on Sunday morning according to the Hardin County Sheriff's Office.

LEVEL 2: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be very icy. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roads. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work. Motorists should use extreme caution.

Or, face a $100 fine and your vehicle will be towed

In light of potentially heavy snowfall this weekend, Ada residents are reminded that all vehicles parked on an established Snow Route must remove their vehicles from the street for snow plows. Once your street has been cleared, you can again park on the street.

Please note that plows will still need room to maneuver should you find yourself too close to another vehicle that has failed to comply.

According to Ada Ordinance, snowfall in excess of 4 inches constitutes a snow emergency requiring the removal of vehicles from snow routes. Snow routes are indicated by street signs on or near your street block.
