Calamity days have taken their toll during this year’s Ada school year. Here’s an update on make-up plans from Meri Skilliter, Ada superintendent.
“We will have a regular instructional day this Friday, Feb. 15, in lieu of a previously scheduled professional development day to make up one day.
“We will go to school March 4-8, rather than having our spring break that week. That week was designated to absorb any additional calamity days over 5.
“We currently have 6 to make up, so those are the six days we will use. Any additional days will be added to the end of the school year.”
The area experienced a 48-degree temperature range in the past week. A high of 59 was recorded on Feb. 7 and a low of 11 two days later, according to Guy Verhoff, Pandora weather observer.
