It’s a heavenly weekend for garage sale buyers and sellers.
It’s Main Street Across America’s Lincoln Highway Buy Way Yard Sale Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Aug. 10-11-12, and Ada is getting ready for a flood of buyers.
The annual event in Ada is sponsored by the Ada Community Improvement Corp. (CIC), which is a member of the Lincoln Highway Association, and the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce.
A map of Ada garage sales will be posted soon on the Icon. The map will list sales in the village and in the surrounding countryside.
In addition, several of the garage sale locations to be on the map have already listed their garage sales on the Icon.

Four paws vote "yea" for the Ada Dog Park.
A sign promoting the park has been installed at the Ada Railroad Park to show residents the layout of the future dog park, and the sign tells how to give a donation toward the park's construction.
Brittany Sorrell and Titan, a 2-year-old Great Dane, are in favor of a place for dogs to exercise, socialize, and have fun off-leash. Putting the finishing touches on the sign are Jimmy Wilson and Ken Lauria, both members of the dog park planning committee.
Hopefully, the the 100' x 300' park for dogs will be ready next summer at Ada War Memorial Park.
