At Monday's special meeting the Ada Board of Education approved Vince Halliday as the new head boys' basketball coach.
He replaces Jon Cook who was hired in October, 2020, as varsity boys' coach following the resignation of Drew White earlier in October. White coached at Ada for three seasons.
Halliday brings with him many years of basketball coaching experience. He has spent the past 14 seasons as the head coach of the girls' basketball program at Lima Senior, where he is a teacher. He leaves the Lady Spartans as the career leader in coaching wins.
"Halliday is a strong leader with much head coaching experience," said Eric Perkins, Ada athletic director.
