Record number of academic scholars on women’s soccer team

A school record 11 members from the Ohio Northern women's soccer program have been tabbed Academic All-OAC selections for the 2018 regular season.

 

Men’s soccer tops in classroom, too

The Ohio Northern men's soccer program was well-represented on this year's Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Team as 13 varsity team members garnered the accolade for the 2018 campaign.

School record of volleyball scholars

A school-record nine Ohio Northern volleyball players were named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference.

 

Senior Josie Andres (Sunman, Ind./East Central), juniors Madison Broering (Saint Henry), McKenna Hostetler (Plain City/Alder), Chelsea Huppert (Bremen, Ind.) and Kristin Langston (Versailles) and sophomores Paige Hartings (Coldwater), Katie Wade (Battle Creek, Mich./Harper Creek), Christen Ware (Jackson Center) and Hope Williamson(Noblesville, Ind./Heritage Christian) all received the honor.

A dazzling freshman season

Ohio Northern freshman midfielder Levi King (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) was named Third Team All-Great Lakes Region in men's soccer for 2018 by the United Soccer Coaches.

 

King was also named Second Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference and was the the OAC Freshman of the Year this season.

He was honored after a dazzling freshman season that included 10 goals, 28 points, and team-highs with eight assists and 82 shots. He also converted both penalty kicks for the Polar Bears this season.

4 gain regional honors

Ohio Northern placed four players on the United Soccer Coaches All-Great Lakes Region women's soccer team for 2018.

 

Junior midfielder Haley Moses (Mason) and sophomore forward Jenna Fuller(Countryside, Ill./Lyons Township) were named First Team All-Region and junior goalkeeper Meagan Grierson (Miamisburg) and junior defender Hannah Martin(Mason/Mount Notre Dame) each received Second-Team All-Region nods.

Moses, Fuller and Grierson were also named First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Martin was a Second Team All-OAC honoree this season.

Ada golfers receive individual awards

Ada HS golfers were recognized at a fall sports ceremony.

The following Bulldog linksters received honors. In the front row from left to right: Senior Robby Allison lettered; Junior Ethan Hull lettered, was named team MVP, and was named Honorable Mention in the Northwest Conference; Junior Alex Morgan lettered; Sophomore Brevin Sizemore lettered; Freshman Kamron Wilkerson was named Rookie of the Year.

In the second row: Coach Jason Campbell; Senior Austin Amburgey lettered; Senior Jake Colwell lettered; Freshman Dexter Woods was recognized for his hole-in-one.
