Ada hosts Leipsic (0-0) in BVC opener on November 25

ADA __The Ada High School girls basketball team defeated visiting traditional rival Upper Scioto Valley 40-30 in the season opener on Friday evening, November 21.

“We played well from the beginning,” said Bulldog girls head coach Zach Ricker. “We had a great week of practice that carried over into tonight. Across the board, we played well.

“I was really happy with our defensive intensity from start to finish,” he added.

Four Ada High School boys soccer players received Div. V All-Northwest district honors, including one first team selection, in voting recently conducted by the Northwest Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association.

Bulldog junior scoring ace Andrew Allen was named first team all-district. The speedy Allen tallied 25 goals and passed out five assists to top Ada with 55 points.

Junior goalkeeper Jacob Rush was named second team all-district. He made 123 saves and posted four clean sheets.

Physical junior forward Carson Conley and senior ace defender Jacob Henson were named honorable mention all-district.

Four Ada High School girls soccer players received Div. V All-Northwest district honors in voting recently conducted by the Northwest Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association.

Ada senior playmaker Alex Gibson team was named second team all-district in Div. V. She scored 10 goals and doled out eight assists to tally 28 points.

Junior Kenley Poling also made second team all-district. She led the team with 16 goals and 38 points as she also passed out six assists.

Sophomores Avary Acheson and Emily Gibson were named honorable mention all-district.
