Junior outside hitter McKenna Jordan has been tabbed the OAC Volleyball Athlete of the Week.
Jordan helped guide the Polar Bears to a pivotal 3-1 conference win over Otterbein on Tuesday and a tight-knit 3-2 victory over Mount Union on Saturday. With the victories, Ohio Northern claimed a share of its third consecutive OAC Regular Season title and captured the top-seed in the OAC Tournament.

Propelled by a dominant rushing attack, Allen East opened up a 30 point first half lead last Friday night and never looked back as the Mustangs defeated the visiting Bulldogs, 51-0. Ada's sixth consecutive loss puts an end to a challenging season for first year head coach Shawn Christopher as his Bulldogs finish the 2018 gridiron campaign 2-8 and 1-8 in the Northwest Conference.
Led by junior Bryce Belcher's 143 yards and three touchdowns, the Mustangs amassed 296 yards rushing and scored five of their seven touchdowns on the ground.
As a team, Allen East out-gained the Bulldogs in total offense, 521 yards to 180.
Ryan Bruns, ONU senior, was named First Team Preseason All-America in men's basketball for 2018-19 by D3hoops.com.
Bruns was a Second Team All-America by D3hoops.com and the National Basketball Coaches Association, was the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year and was First Team All-Great Lakes Region last season.
He was second on the team, third in the OAC and 12th nationally in scoring at 24.0 ppg last year.
ALLIANCE — The No. 22-ranked Ohio Northern women's volleyball program captured a share of its third consecutive OAC Regular Season title Saturday afternoon, defeating the Mount Union Purple Raiders in a 3-2 thriller in Alliance.
With the victory, ONU improves to 19-7 overall and finishes the OAC regular season with an 8-1 mark to finish tied for first in the conference standings. Northern will share the regular season conference crown with Otterbein, who also finished 8-1 against the conference circuit this year. The Polar Bears also clinch the number one seed in the OAC Tournament and home-court advantage throughout the event with the win.
HARTVILLE — Senior All-American Ian McVey (Stow/Munroe Falls) became the first runner in Ohio Northern history to earn back-to-back Ohio Athletic Conference individual titles as the ONU men's cross country team finished third at the 2018 OAC Championships on Saturday afternoon at Sable Creek Golf Course.
